Affordable Health Care/Race and Government Shut Down

Contact Senator Kenneth Wayne Jones, 601-918-7410

As Chairman of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus, I must address the true issues concerning the Affordable Health Care Act.

It would be easy to keep the ongoing rhetoric of finances, budgets and partisan arguments, but at some point, the race factor has to be addressed.

When Rush Limbaugh called “Obama Care” the same as reparations for people of color, he was basically speaking for the entire Republican movement.

So with that, the lines have been drawn in the sand, and our nation is now experiencing a shutdown simply because astute, seasoned politicians on both sides of our government are acting like bratty children with no consideration for the greater majority that is being affected.

This is not new behavior. Our Nation’s leaders who wear the conservative title have continuously attacked women, minorities, immigrants and voting rights with the same ferociousness as the Klan of yesterday.

I hope in Mississippi, that even though our attitudes as politicians reflect the same ideologies of our national counterparts, that we can continue to have productive dialogue, agree to disagree as ladies and gentlemen, and find common ground to develop effective and appropriate policies.

I urge us to be mindful of the ramifications of following our national counterparts’ example of divisive tactics too closely. It could be so close that it hinders us from providing the great State of Mississippi with the true leadership that it deserves.

Sincerely
Senator Kenneth Wayne Jones

I'm sorry, this guy is who? Or maybe a better question is, I care what he says why?

Dear Kenneth:

Your party contines to keep your people in poverty so they can control the vote and tell lies after lies during election time about what you are going to do for them. The only thing you do is earn a big fat paycheck at their expense, help keep them oppressed and lie again after three years about what you are going to do the next time they put you in office. You are worse than them because you earn a living off the government just like the people who put you there do year after year. You Demoncrats can only point fingers at the Conservative because you sure do nothing to help your people.

How is a conservative defined according to Jones. In today's politics most identify republicans and Tparty with that label. I submit there are right wingers in those groups also. GW Bush was anything but conservative, so the women, immigrants, etc. have had a hayday the past 14yrs advancing liberalisms, voting rights, and whatever else they define as causes. By now everyone, regardless of how naïve, should recognize Obamacaid was an accounting adjustment and TAX INCREASE, that if left to survive, will/has forever changed the US. forever socially and economically, and not for the better. From all the branches of government citizens have been represented poorly, while politicians and big corporations have thrived.

Ok, lets see...
"Our Nation's leaders who wear the conservative title have continuously attacked women, minorities, immigrants and voting rights with the same ferociousness as the Klan of yesterday."

Now, a few basic word changes..

"Our Nation's leaders who wear the liberal title have continuously attacked business, white people (BTW, the majority), self-reliance, obeying our laws, and coming up with a social program for every whining minority with the same ferociousness as the "Bill Ayers'", Black Panther Party, Jeremiah Wright and the NAACP of yesterday. Almost forgot...currently condoning and supporting voter fraud.

Your point??

The race card is a red flag. Anytime you see someone pull it out, then it means there is no argument to support what they are trying to push.

No argument, uh, well, um, race! yea, that's it, race!

How odd that Haley is also whining to the national media today.

So the Donkeycrats are unhappy and so are the RINOs.

Something must be going right.

Kenny Wayne is the Babs Blackmon of his time. Marbles anyone?

The race card is their franchise. They have nothing else.

Please, hush and go to the house.

8:45 AM, I saw that too.

“Predictable as the morning sun…The establishment GOPers are lashing out at the Tea Party over the Obama shutdown. And they’re promising to strike back against the conservative base in 2014……. The anger emanating from Republicans like Sununu and Barbour comes just three years after the GOP embraced the insurgent political group and rode its wave of new energy to return to power in the House.”

News for ya, ‘establishment GOPers’, your paycheck and ego are NOT more important than my free will and choices as a citizen. When you boys have the exact same talking points as the dems, well, we aren’t the ones who have fallen off the wagon.

" I urge us to be mindful of the ramifications "

I'll bet Lil' K-Whaane had help writing this letter.

“Interesting to watch geniuses who brought us Presidential candidate McCain calling others crazy”

That letter makes about as much sense as Jesse Jackson blaming the shutdown on the Confederacy .

8:45 refers to RINOs. I'm curious. What is the litmus test for a Republican?

After Haley justified buying cars for convicted murderers, whatever he is for I'm against. He is No different than a democrat to me now

In conclusion, I hope we can have a constructive, respectful dialogue with you backwards, bigoted, cross-burning Klansmen.

I can't reconcile him saying "Our Nation’s leaders who wear the conservative title have continuously attacked women, minorities, immigrants and voting rights with the same ferociousness as the Klan of yesterday." with "even though our attitudes as politicians reflect the same ideologies of our national counterparts, that we can continue to have productive dialogue, agree to disagree as ladies and gentlemen . . . ."

He compares our Nation's leaders who are conservatives to the Klan, and then says that local politicians have the same ideologies, and then wants to disagree with them as ladies and gentlemen?

Here's what's racist: joining and leading an organization that only allows members of a certain race to join. Black caucuses at the state and the federal level have only two requirements for membership: holding elective office and having the right skin color. Ask white legislators who have attempted to join their little club how far that first on got them.

This is black letter (pun intended) racism.

This is not new behavior. Elected officials from the President (a member during his Senate days) on down have continuously excluded anyone who fails their race test with the same ferocity as the Klan of yesterday.

Kenny, you are the 21st century's version of the Grand Dragon. Until you renounce your racist organization and include people of ALL races, you are no better than those hooded criminals who fought to keep schools segregated (in much the same way your little club is completely segregated). So shut your racist mouth. Mississippi has moved past your race-baiting and your discriminatory practices.

Code word for Republican is angry white men. In other word Kenny Wayne is a black racist. In other words JJ wasted blog space for this crap.

I love it. The Tea(a/k/a Republican) Party's approval rating is at 28% and dropping like a rock, and despite it's rocky beginning, Obamacare's popularity is rising. Now at least some of the Tea Repubs. in the House are starting to figure out that the American people don't believe the Teas House members should blow up our economy and the world's if they don't get their way on a one year extension of Obamacare.

And when the Koch Brothers told the Tea loons they helped create that they were cutting off the money spicket if they carried out their kill the hostage threat and forced our country to become a deadbeat nation, the Teas really started reversing field on their "burn it all down" maniacal scheme.

I expect a default deal and the government back open soon, with the Repubs.' getting nothing substantive in return.

They're just like the Klan, huh?

Maybe Kenny can post a few links to stories about all the lynchings, assassinations and church bombings that happened in 2013 so far. I must have missed them.

Ignorant tool.

How nice! Jim Crow and been repalced with Black Crow! cackle, complain, crow, whine, cluck, wail, flap......

Good grief, y'all could not have sounded more like Kluxers if you'd been chanting around a burning cross!

Let's all pretend that the Klan didn't become the White Conservative Council and then the Conservative Council to try to put lipstick on a pig or that Nixon's Southern strategy wasn't all about appealing to racists.

William Winter ran for Governor as a Segregationist.

It was the Republicans who fought for and were responsible for the passage of civil rights laws, not LBJ. Revisionist history, taught by Liberal dogma saturated educators, has propagated lies about the civil rights movement for almost 50 years!

http://theblacksphere.net/2013/07/civil-wrongs-lyndon-b-johnson/#cH4FtJqRRtfUmPSW.99

and

In his 4,500-word State of the Union Address delivered on January 4, 1965, Johnson mentioned scores of topics for federal action, but only thirty five words were devoted to civil rights. He did not mention one word about voting rights. Information about Johnson’s anemic civil rights policy positions can be found in the “Public Papers of the President, Lyndon B. Johnson,” 1965, vol. 1, p.1-9.

Johnson did not predict a racist exodus to the Republican Party – In their campaign to unfairly paint the Republican Party today as racists, Democrats point to Johnson’s prediction that there would be an exodus from the Democratic Party because of Johnson’s support of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Omitted from the Democrats’ rewritten history is what Johnson actually meant by his prediction. Johnson’s statement was not made out of a concern that racist Democrats would suddenly join the Republican Party that was fighting for the civil rights of blacks. Johnson feared that the racist Democrats would again form a third party, such as the short-lived States Rights Democratic Party. In fact, Alabama’s Democrat Governor George C. Wallace in 1968 started the American Independent Party that attracted other racist candidates, including Democrat Governor Lester Maddox.

Johnson also said: “These Negroes, they’re getting uppity these days. That’s a problem for us, since they got something now they never had before. The political pull to back up their uppityness. Now, we’ve got to do something about this. We’ve got to give them a little something. Just enough to quiet them down, but not enough to make a difference. If we don’t move at all, their allies will line up against us. And there’ll be no way to stop them. It’ll be Reconstruction all over again.”

Johnson also said “I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years”.

Guess LBJ was one smart SOB. He and Democrats have duped black voters for a long time.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
